Meet Our Hosts:
Zoe Barley LMFT
Zoe is educationally trained as a family therapist and has over 10 years of working with individuals, couples and families. She began her career in the adventure therapy field where she was able to combine her passion for outdoor adventure with a career of helping people alleviate their mental health symptoms. Zoe is also trauma-informed and specializes in helping people understand their emotions and repair experiences of disconnection in various relationships. She also believes in holistic care, often implementing experiential strategies of movement, play, and humor to strengthen both the mind and body.
Though formal therapy will not be provided within this retreat, Zoe will facilitate community-building groups and exercises that explore your inner, intimate parts of self.
Should you wish to work with Zoe in a traditional setting following the retreat, the option is open as long as you reside in one of the states where she holds a working license.
Karen Gómez:
A licensed social worker with over three years of experience in facilitating therapeutic groups. Along with her husband, Karen owns Sur Adventour, our host company in Costa Rica, dedicated to ensuring you have a transformational experience. They bring over five years of experience in the tourism industry.
